Agnes Thomas Morris

[1] She was educated at Mount Union College, graduating in the class of 1887, with further training at the National School of Oratory in Philadelphia.

[2] Agnes L. Thomas was partly deaf from childhood, with enough hearing loss that she was barred from teacher training programs.

[3][4] Agnes Thomas Morris served on the board of the Toledo Woman's Association, on the Committee on Literature of the Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs, and [2] In 1918, she was elected president of the War Mothers of America, and of the umbrella organization the Service Star Legion,[5][6] at their national conference in Evansville, Indiana.

[7] After completing her term as national president, she served as associate editor of the organization's magazine, The Service Star.

[10][11] She also wrote several one-act plays, including Under the Blossom (1935), Friendly Will Revisits Stratford (1935) and William Shakespeare Discovers New Worlds (1935).
