Akitsu Station (Hiroshima)

Akitsu Station (安芸津駅, Akitsu-eki) is a passenger railway station located in the city of Higashihiroshima, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan.

The station consists of two opposed ground-level side platforms connected by an underground.

Akitsu Station started its operation on 17 February 1935.

With the privatization of the Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR West.
