Aksaysky District, or Aksay Region (Russian: Акса́йский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia.
It is located in the western central part of the oblast.
The area of the district is 1,162 square kilometers (449 sq mi).
[2] Its administrative center is the town of Aksay.
[3] Platov International Airport, which will serve Rostov-on-Don, located at the stanitsa of Grushevskaya, which has commenced all services on 7 December 2017.
