Alamo, New Mexico

Alamo (Navajo: Tʼiistoh) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Socorro County, New Mexico, United States.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 39.7 square miles (103 km2), all land.

8.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 2.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

Cindy Yurth of the Navajo Times wrote that it is "the de facto government of Alamo".

Students began attending Magdalena Municipal Schools in 1957 after the BIA opened a dormitory facility in that city.
