Alexander Barrett Musser was best known for appearances in the shows I Wanna Be a Soap Star and All My Children.
[citation needed] After college, Musse held jobs as a ski patrolman and lifeguard before he was approached by an agent who sent photos to Bruce Weber, who was casting the new Abercrombie & Fitch (A&F) campaign.
[citation needed] Alec had traveled to Paris, Greece, South Africa, Australia, and Hawaii, modeling for clients Gianfranco Ferré, GQ, Cosmopolitan, Men's Health, Speedo, RIPS Underwear, and Target.
[citation needed] Musser died by suicide in his Del Mar, California, home on January 12, 2024, after shooting himself in the chest with a shotgun.
[1][3] His older brother John wrote, “Our father's suicide, when we were young teens, wove a deep traumatic thread throughout Alec's life.”
