Alexander Anthony Blum (February 7, 1889 – September 1969)[1] was a Hungarian-American comic book artist best remembered for his contributions in the 1940s and 1950s to the long-running comic book series Classics Illustrated.
[2] Born Sándor Aladár Blum in Hungary, into a Jewish family,[3] Blum studied at the National Academy of Design in New York before moving with his young family to the Germantown section of Philadelphia, where he worked as a portrait painter.

He occasionally worked in collaboration with his daughter, Toni Blum, born in 1918, who wrote comics during that period for Eisner & Iger.
