Alex Brenninkmeijer (29 June 1951 - 14 April 2022)[1][2] was a Dutch lawyer, judge and academic, national ombudsman between 2005 and 2014,[3] and member of the European Court of Auditors from 2014 until his death.

[5] From 2005 to 2014, Brenninkmeijer served as the National Ombudsman of the Netherlands.

He was a member of the ECA from 2014 until his death in April 2022.
