Alex Lasarenko

Alexander Lasarenko (July 13, 1963 – November 8, 2020)[1] was an American composer, classical pianist, and creative director most known for the creation of the four-note Disney Channel mnemonic that was utilized on their bumpers since 2002.

He was also known for his works in films such as Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Loneliest Whale: The Search for 52, and Dinner Rush.

[3] For years, the identity of the composer behind the Disney Channel four-note mnemonic was unknown.

The discovery was finally made when a November 20, 2022 video from Defunctland titled Disney Channel's Theme: A History Mystery[4] was released.

The video documented the process of discovering and confirming Lasarenko as the original composer.
