He also won a bronze medal in the pommel horse individual event competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
He attended Highland High School before enrolling at the University of Oklahoma to pursue gymnastics.
He is a five-time national champion, three-time World finalist and Olympic bronze medalist in the pommel horse.
