Alexander Demetrius Goltz (25 January 1857, Püspökladány – 14 May 1944, Vienna) was a painter from Austria-Hungary and later Austria.
Then, for the next two years, he was a student of Anselm Feuerbach at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna.
From 1904 to 1907, he was in charge of the scenic equipment at the Burgtheater, then held the same position at the Vienna State Opera from 1909 to 1910.
[1] During this time, he painted the portraits of numerous performers; notably Josef Kainz.
During the First World War, he served as a battle painter for the Imperial Kriegspressequartier [de] and worked at the fronts in Belgium, Russia, Italy, Serbia and Turkey.
