The Alexanderson Award[1] is given annually by the American Institute of Mathematics.
The award was instituted in 2018.
It honors a notable paper resulting from an AIM activity (workshop, research community, or SQuaRE).
[2] The award was conceived of by John Fry in order to honor Gerald L. Alexanderson,[2] Professor at Santa Clara University and founding chair of AIM's board of trustees.
Winners of the Alexanderson Award are given a medal, a cash prize and a trip to Bock Cay in the Bahamas.
