Alfredo Chavez Marquez

Born in Winkelman, Arizona, Marquez was an Ensign in the United States Navy during World War II, from 1942 to 1945.

He then received a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Arizona in 1948, and a Bachelor of Laws from the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona in 1950.

He was an administrative assistant for United States Representative Stewart Udall in 1955.

[1] On June 2, 1980, Marquez was nominated by President Jimmy Carter to a new seat on the United States District Court for the District of Arizona created by 92 Stat.

His seat was filled via the appointment of Judge John Roll.
