While Alfredo was building a reputation at Be Bop he was asked to DJ for a party at the outdoor terrace club called Amnesia[3] in the nearby village of San Rafael.
Alfredo's first appearance at the club was in 1983[2] at a private party, and at first his sets, an eclectic mix of house, disco and pop, were not well received.
At the club, the group were introduced to the unique eclectic style of Alfredo's sets, which included pop, soul, funk, jazz and other sounds along with emerging house music then being exported from the USA.
Danny Rampling set up what is regarded as the UK's first Balearic rave, a clubnight called Shoom,[6] which took place in a disused fitness centre in Southwark.
Oakenfold hosted an "Ibiza Reunion" party which evolved into one of the UK's major acid house nights, Spectrum, at Heaven in Charing Cross.
