He served as the second headmaster of Kaura Primary School, Zaria City, in the 1960s, succeeding Shehu Idris, who later became the Emir of Zazzau.
In 2011, he was conferred with the traditional title of Cigarin Zazzau and previously served as the District Head of Sabon Birnin-Daji in Kaduna State.
Public Administration After his career in education, Dalhat joined the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), where he worked as a Station Master.
