Alin Badea

Alin Badea (born 1 June 1988) is a Romanian sabre fencer, who won the team silver medal in the 2013 World championships.

Badea began fencing at age 10 at his local club, CS Slobozia, under coach Marin Mihăiță.

[2] With Tiberiu Dolniceanu as captain, Romania won a bronze medal in Madrid, their first World Cup tournament with the new team.

He entered the last relay in the quarter-final against host Hungary on 40–44 for the opposition and gave 2012 Olympic Champion Áron Szilágyi five hits in a row to win the match.

In the 2013–14 season Badea was stopped in the second round of the European Championships by Russia's Kamil Ibragimov, who eventually won a bronze medal.
