Alissa Park

Ah-Hyung (Alissa) Park (born 1973) is a chemical engineer and an expert on atmospheric carbon dioxide removal.

Originally from South Korea, and educated in Canada and the US, she works in the US as the Ronald and Valerie Sugar Dean of the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science.

[1] Park is originally from Seoul, where her parents were an architectural engineer and an artist;[1] she was born in 1973.

[4] She became full professor, director of the center, and chair of the department before moving in 2023 to her present position as dean of engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles.

[1] She is the 2022 recipient of the AIChE Shell Thomas Baron Award in Fluid-Particle Systems.
