All Saints Church, Thurgarton

[2] The church stands in an isolated position on a crossroads north of the village, 6 miles (10 km) south of Cromer, to the west of the A140 road.

Its plan consists of a three-bay nave, a south porch, a chancel and a west vestry.

Along the south wall are three two-light windows dating from the 19th century in Decorated style.

[1] The interior of the church is notable for its medieval benches with carved ends.

[2] The carvings include poppyheads, an elephant, barrels, mythical beasts, a man, a lion, and fighting dogs.
