Allan Cameron (4 March 1924 – 15 October 2009) was a Scotland international rugby union footballer.
Scotland narrowly lost against France but Cameron proudly returned to his home with the match ball.
He opened the front door and threw the ball inside then discovered from his crestfallen mother and sister that his father had died just hours before.
[8] After his playing career finished, Cameron became a selector for the Glasgow District committee.
