Alta, Iowa

Alta is a city in Buena Vista County, Iowa, United States.

[4] Halvor H. Peterson (1831–1917), Wisconsin State Assemblyman and farmer, lived in Alta.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.07 square miles (2.77 km2), all land.
