Amar Bangladesh Party

The party was established on 2 May 2020 by a reformist splinter group of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.

[8] The party supports proportional representation and calls for reformations in the Bangladeshi electoral system.

[9] The party was criticised to be an alternative to Jamaat, which is controversial for its role in the Liberation War.

However, the party founders claimed that it will be totally independent and distinct from the ideology of Jamaat.
