Ambika Sharan Singh

Ambika Sharan Singh (22 December 1922 – 6 July 1977) also known as Surajiya Babuji was a noted freedom fighter and minister of state in the Finance Ministry (Independent Charge) of the Government of Bihar.

[4] In 1967 the assembly seat was reconstituted and Barhara became his constituency from where he was elected in year 1967[5] from Indian National Congress.

[6] His close friend Ram Vilas Singh won the Barhara constituency election in the year 1972.

[1] Some prominent people to visit the hotel after his death were then Prime Minister Morarji Desai, Mr. Chandra Shekhar, Mr. Satyendra Narain Singh, Jagjivan Ram, and Mr. Karpoori Thakur.

His last rites were performed in Bas Gath[1] Patna by his elder son Raghvendra Pratap Singh (MLA Barhara).
