Amit Halevi

Amit Halevi (Hebrew: עמית הלוי; born 5 June 1971)[1] is an Israeli politician who has served as a member of the Knesset for Likud since 2023, an office he previously held from 2020 to 2021.

He graduated from the School of Public Policy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and later jointly established the Jewish Statesmanship Center with Assaf Malakh.

[citation needed] Halevi returned to the Knesset on 17 January 2023 as a replacement for Amichai Chikli, following his resignation under the Norwegian Law.

[1] In June 2023, he proposed a bill to divide the Temple Mount, also known as the al-Aqsa mosque compound, between Jews and Muslims, generating criticism from the Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh.
