Amit Yoran, a businessman and CEO of Tenable, Inc., died on January 3, 2025 in Great Falls, Virginia from cancer.
[1] Yoran was born in New York City on December 1, 1970,[2][3] to Israeli emigrants who arrived in the 1960s.
[1] In April 1998, during the dot-com bubble, along with his two brothers and Tim Belcher, Yoran co-founded Riptech.
There, he oversaw the creation of a cyber alert system that sends out warnings about computer viruses and net attacks.
