Angela Betzien

[1] She graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Master of Arts for her thesis, "Hoods: Creating political theatre for young audiences".

[2] Her first play, Dog Wins Lotto, was produced by the Queensland Theatre Company in 1997.

[4] The following year she won a fellowship to the Royal Court Theatre in London as writer-in-residence.

[1] Her play for young adults, Hoods, was first staged at the Sydney Opera House in 2006.

[6] Their work for young audiences include Hoods, War Crimes and Children of the Black Skirt.
