Angela Casini

Angela Casini is a medicinal and inorganic chemist who works on metal-based compounds as therapeutic agents.

She was awarded the 2012 European Medal for Bio-Inorganic Chemistry and made the 2019 American Chemical Society Inorganic Lecturer.

[2] She was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pisa, where she worked on the mechanisms by which metal-complexes that are used as anti-cancer agents activate.

[1] Angela Casini joined the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne as a Principal Investigator in 2008.

[4] She was made a Chair of Medicinal Chemistry at Cardiff University in 2015, and has served as Director of Postgraduate Teaching from 2018.
