[3] She was the 2018 champion in the women's 200-meter dash at the NCAA Division I Championships despite several months of injury, and successfully defended her title in 2019, out-leaning world under-20 record holder Sha'Carri Richardson by less than a hundredth of a second.
[8] Annelus' father Annessoir was born in Artibonite, Haiti, where he was a captured prisoner as a result of coup d'état.
He managed to escape and emigrated to Kansas City shortly after and was a pardoned refugee.
