Ankenes Church

Ankenes Church (Norwegian: Ankenes kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Narvik Municipality in Nordland county, Norway.

It is the main church for the Ankenes parish which is part of the Ofoten prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland.

The white, wooden church was built in an octagonal style in 1842 using plans drawn up by the architect Ingebrigt Julin.

Then in 1842, the old church was torn down and a new building was constructed on the same site.

In 1940, during World War II, the church was damaged during the fighting.
