Anne Philomena O'Brien

Anne Philomena O'Brien (born 1954) is an Australian historian and author who is a professor at the University of New South Wales.

[2] In 1975, O'Brien earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Adelaide, graduating with honours.

[2] In 1987, O'Brien began lecturing in history at the University of New South Wales.

The Poor in New South Wales 1880–1918,[4] which was based on her PhD research.

Her second book, God's Willing Workers: Women and Religion in Australia, was published in 2005.
