Anthony Corbeill

Anthony Philip Corbeill (born 30 December 1960) is an American professor of classics.

In addition, he has held fellowships working on the Thesaurus Linguae Latinae in Munich, Germany, the American Academy in Rome, the Institute for Research in the Humanities at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and All Souls College, Oxford.

[1] He is best known for his research concerning Roman literature and cultural history,[1] as well as publishing articles concerning grammatical gender and gesture (such as the pollice verso, of which it has been argued that Corbeill "provides the most thorough review").
