Anthony DiGiorgio

[1] Three years later, he became a faculty member and assistant to the dean of humanities, social science and education at Purdue.

From 1970 to 1989, he held various positions, including vice president of academic affairs at Trenton State College.

While at Winthrop, he served two terms on the board of directors of the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

[2] DiGiorgio was married to his wife Gale, and they had two daughters, Darrah and Dina, the latter of whom died in 2007.

He was undergoing treatment for it, when he died of a pulmonary embolism at age 79 on May 20, 2020, in Tucson, Arizona.
