Thomasappa Anthony Swamy is the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Chikmagalur, India.
[1][2][3] He was born in Mariyanna Palya, a small village in Bangalore on 9 February 1951.
Bishop Anthony Swamy Thomasappa did his doctorate in Missiology in Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
The Karnataka state diocese belongs to the ecclesiastical province headed by the Archdiocese of Bangalore.
He was appointed the Bishop of Chikkamagaluru by Pope Benedict XVI.
