Arbela is a village in Scotland County, Missouri, United States.
[5] With the coming of the Keokuk & Western Railroad some years later, the town was resurveyed and the present name chosen.
[6] It was named for the Battle for Arbela in which Alexander the Great defeated the Persian Army.
[7] According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.09 square miles (0.23 km2), all land.

None of the families and 33.5% of the population were living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and none of those over 64.
