Arietta is a town in Hamilton County, New York, United States.

The town was named after the mother of one of the first settlers, Rensselaer Van Rennslaer.

The East Canada Creek flows southward from the area around Powley to the Mohawk River.

New York State Route 8, an east-west highway, intersects New York State Route 10, a north-south highway, south of Piseco Lake.

The southern border is formed by the towns of Stratford and Caroga in Fulton County.
