Armando Soriano Badani

Armando Soriano Badani (1923–2020) was a Bolivian poet, writer, journalist and diplomat.

He was born in Cochabamba, and studied at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA).

[1] As a journalist, Badani ran the literary supplement of the newspaper Hoy and wrote for a variety of outlets, notably for Última Hora.

As a diplomat, he represented his country at the Organization of American States, and he was also posted to Paris as charge d'affaires.

He was one of the last survivors of the cultural movement Gesta Bárbara founded by Carlos Medinaceli.
