Armen Martirosyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia SSR, Soviet Union on 30 September 1973.

In 1994, he graduated from the Combat Sports faculty of the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture.

He is a judo coach, physical training teacher, pedagogical sciences candidate and senior professor.

On 12 May 2007, he was elected as a Deputy of the National Assembly by proportional electoral system from the Heritage party.
