Arno Bausemer

Arno Bausemer (born 2 December 1982) is a German politician of Alternative for Germany who was elected member of the European Parliament in 2024.

[2] He grew up in Hohengöhren and went to school in Schönhausen and Tangermünde,[3] and started studying journalism and political science at Leipzig University.

[6] Bausemer's father was a member of the Kreistag, of the Landkreis Stendal, representing the FDP, leading him to join the party.

[3] Bausemer junior worked with the FDP for ten years, and was the party's district treasurer and group chairman in Elbe-Havel-Land.

[3] In the spring of 2017, Bausemer became the first leader of the Young Alternative in Stendal upon its founding,[11] and he began working as chief of staff to Oliver Kirchner in November 2017.

[10][12] In the summer of 2023 Bausemer and his party associate Mary Khan-Hohloch gained notoriety throughout Germany due to inconsistencies in their curriculum vitaes.

[16] Bausemer also claimed to have received a scholarship by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, which is close to the FDP, due to being highly gifted.
