Asayech Ayichew (born 3 April 2005) is an Ethiopian long distance runner.

[1] In May 2022 Asayech Ayichew won the women's Under-20 5000m race in 17:10.02 at the East Africa Games.

[2] In September 2023, she made her Diamond League debut in the 3000 metres in Xiamen.

[4] In March 2024, she won silver in the U20 individual and gold in the team U20 race at the 2024 World Athletics Cross Country Championships in Serbia.

[5][6] She ran a personal best 29:43 to finish fourth in the 10K Valencia road race on 12 January 2025, this time placed her inside the top 10 on the world all-time list.
