[14] On Warwickshire's tour of Zimbabwe prior to the 1994 season Asif made his highest first-class innings, against a Mashonaland XI he scored 217, 204 of them on a single day.
[16] Asif was a member of the Warwickshire squad that completed the treble in 1994, he played in the final of the Benson & Hedges Cup and made 12 appearances in the Sunday League.
