Astrid van Nahl

Astrid van Nahl (born 1951) is a German philologist, writer, and editor who specializes in Scandinavian studies Astrid van Nahl was born in Schweinfurt, Germany in 1951.

She received her Ph.D. in Old Norse literature at the University of Bonn[1] in 1980 under the supervision of Heinrich Beck.

She subsequently worked as a research assistant at numerous universities, eventually becoming Lecturer at the University of Bonn.

van Nahl is closely associated with the Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities, and a contributor of several articles to the Reallexikon der Germanischen Altertumskunde.

van Nahl was involved with the establishment of the Germanische Altertumskunde Online.
