Asu Özdağlar (born December 16, 1974)[1] is a Turkish American computer scientist and a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
[6] Özdağlar attended the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, earning a BS degree in Electrical Engineering in 1996.
She then pursued further studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she obtained an SM degree in 1998 and a PhD in 2003, both in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Her recent research focuses on designing incentives and algorithms for data-driven online systems with many diverse human-machine participants.
In 2017, she was named the new head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at MIT.
