Athenaeus (rhetorician)

Athenaeus (Ancient Greek: Ἀθήναιος, fl.

1st century BCE) was a rhetorician of ancient Greece.

He was a contemporary – and main opponent – of the rhetorician Hermagoras of Temnos.
