Augustus Stapleton

Augustus Granville Stapleton (1800 – 1880) was an English biographer and political pamphleteer.

Stapleton was educated at Rugby School and Trinity Hall, Cambridge.

Canning died a few months later and Stapleton subsequently published an extensive biography.
