Avilla, Indiana

Avilla is a town in Allen Township, Noble County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.

[4] According to Ronald L. Baker, the town may be named after Ávila, Spain,[5] but other sources indicated the name was given to represent the French word "villa," meaning a small town.

[7] According to the 2010 census, Avilla has a total area of 1.48 square miles (3.83 km2), all land.
