Aviston is a village in Clinton County, Illinois, United States.

[4] U.S. Route 50 bypasses the village to the north, leading east 14 miles (23 km) to Carlyle, the county seat, and west 16 miles (26 km) to Interstate 64 near O'Fallon.

Downtown St. Louis is 35 miles (56 km) west of Aviston.

According to the 2021 census gazetteer files, Aviston has a total area of 1.60 square miles (4.14 km2), all land.

23.95% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.61% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
