Avoca (/əˈvoʊkə/) is a small town in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia, in Wingecarribee Shire.
Situated 700 m above sea level, Avoca is just 15 minutes drive from bigger towns such as Bowral and Moss Vale and around 25 minutes drive to Mittagong.
The village includes a public school, with around 7 students, an events hall (Avoca Hall) and a NSW RFS brigade, although it is situated further away from the main centre of the village.
Daily bus services are provided by Berrima Buslines, morning and afternoons in conjunction with local school times.
They travel along the Illawarra Highway and Barrengarry Mountain, en route to Kangaroo Valley and Nowra.
