Avraham "Avi" Rivkind (Hebrew: אברהם ריבקינד; born 1949) is an Israeli physician and surgeon.
He is head of the department of general surgery and the trauma unit of Hadassah Medical Center in Ein Karem, Jerusalem.
Dr. Rivkind has been a pioneer in using cell phone and computer technology to provide important information about a patient to the medical personnel even before arrival at the hospital, saving vital time.
[1] Rivkind is the medical director of United Hatzalah, Israel's largest volunteer emergency response organization.
He served a fellowship in traumatology and critical care with the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS) in Baltimore.
