Axel Gjöres (1889–1979) was a Swedish social democrat politician who served in different government posts.
[2] In the period 1920–1931 he was also the editor of Kooperatören, a magazine published by the Swedish Cooperative Society.
[2] Gjöres was appointed minister of supply in 1941, replacing Herman Eriksson in the post.
[5] Gjöres served in the cabinet led by Prime Minister Per Albin Hansson.
[8] Then Gjöres served as the director general of the Swedish Board of Trade in the period 1948–1954.
