Azamat Akhmedov

Azamat Gadjimuradovich Akhmedov (Russian: Азамат Гаджимурадович Ахмедов, Kumyk: Гьажимурадны уланы Азамат, romanized: Hajimuradnı ulanı Azamat; born 11 October 1990) is a Russian Greco-Roman wrestler of Kumyk descent ethnicity, who claimed the silver medal at the 2016 World Cup and the 2024 Russian Championships.

He started Greco-Roman wrestling in the local sport club "Victoria" as a child.

[2] He currently lives and trains in Yekaterinburg under Olympic silver medalist Geidar Mamedaliyev.

[3] In 2016, he took the silver medal from the 2016 World Cup held in Iran as a Russian team member.
