Babbie is a town in Covington County, Alabama, United States.

[2] Babbie is located in eastern Covington County at 31°18′2″N 86°19′9″W / 31.30056°N 86.31917°W / 31.30056; -86.31917 (31.300460, -86.319293).

[4] At the 2000 census there were 627 people, 258 households, and 192 families in the town.

There were 284 housing units at an average density of 24.6 per square mile (9.5/km2).

[7] Of the 258 households 29.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.0% were married couples living together, 8.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.2% were non-families.
