Baldev Raj Nayar (October 26, 1931 – February 9, 2021)[1] was an Indian-born Canadian academic.
He was born in Punjab (India) on 26 October 1931, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1963.
[2] His research on Globalization and its impact on various domains of governance has influenced a generation of scholars and policy makers.
[3] His book Minority Politics in the Punjab won the Watumull Prize in 1966.
He was also a regular contributor to Asian Survey, Economic and Political Weekly and India Review.
